ESA skilled is a part of ESA 19 wich is the electrical industry’s collective safety regulation for the prevention of damage caused by electricity. A part of the regulation contains requirements for training. ESA 19 regulates, among other things, the cooperation between line/utilities owners and contractors and contributes to having a common standard for the work at different electrical installations can be facilitated.

The course is part of Energiföretagen Sverige's work for a safer workplace, Wattityd. In addition to the course fee, there is an additional fee of SEK 995 per participant, which also includes documentation and certificate management. The fee is invoiced together with the course fee. Goal

After having completed the training, the course participants will understand how to plan and organize work for the different working methods to prevent electrical accidents and operational disturbances.

Target group

This course is intended for electricians or staff working on site or near an electrical installation where the ESA standard is the guide to work with when it comes to electrical safety. The course is designed for you who have recently been introduced to the ESA concept and if work so requires having a necessity for an ESA competence. The participant should have the necessary electrical skills to be able to assimilate the content of the education.

Subjects covered in the course

Electrical safety instructions (ESA) cover the operational measures as well as the working procedures for safety work on site or in the area of electrical installations. By complying with ESA, the employer meets the requirements contained in the Work Environment Act to take the measures needed to avoid ill health and accidents. ESA is a clarification and complement to the standard of SS-EN 50110-1.
